The prudent can decouple from it—from the emotional impact of the offense—they can set that aside and get past it. But the fool is consumed by the offense—controlled by his own emotional response to it.
Proverbs 19:11 A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.
